final cut pro project file wont open
I was working on a big project last night and when I would try to render it started saying “out of memory”
so I shut down the computer for ten or twenty seconds and started it back up
final cut would start, it would say reading file, get to 49 percent and then unexpectedly quit
i tried trashing prefs, restarted, making a copy of project file, repairing permissions, and reverting back to the autosave vault.
the only project that would work on the auto save vault was from seven hours earlier.
anyone have an idea of how to get my work back or prevent this from happening again.
one thing I already did to prevent this was delete any unnecessary timelines from my working project
any suggestions? -

maybe update to the newest version already if you have not done so. yeah i get out of memory problems too with a quad with 4gb ram. Use avid until apple makes their editing software top priority (for sd projects at least). comsumer electronics is at the top of their list. 🙂
