Final Cut Pro playback issue
When I play back my sequence, the playhead doesn’t move until I stop playback, then it jumps to the position in the sequence where I stopped. I also noticed when I moved a keyframe to change a motion parameter, the visual tracking line in the canvas didn’t reflect my change (the new motion was correct) until I stopped playback. I have 6 GB 667 MHz DDr2 FB-DIMM. I do have a few other applications open but they’re not running any processeing (iCal, MacMail, Safari). Is this an issue of RAM?

We can only guess unless you give us all your settings and hardware specs. Sequence settings, codec, system, etc…
Definitely not a RAM issue.

Sorry for not getting back sooner. I ran Verify Permissions and all checked out OK, but I don’t seem to have the issue anymore. Here’s all the specs:
Sequence:
720×480 NTSC DV (3:2)
PAR: NTSC CCIR 601/DV (720×480)
Lower (Even)
DV/DVCPRO – NTSC
Render in 8-bit YUVHardware:
MacPro Dual-Core Intel Xeon
2.66 Ghz
2 Processor, 4 core
6 GB memory
L2 Cache per processor, 4 MBI recently downloaded a After Effects CS5 trial and the problem started soon thereafter..?
