    Hello All,
I have done some searching to no avail (google, creativecow, etc)

I have a MAC G5, PPC, dual 1.8ghz, 3 firewire drives (G-Raid2, G-tech, and Generic), running Leopard and Final Cut Studio 2, FCP 6.0.3.

I am using the G-RAID2 array as my main drive for my FCP projects.

When I first installed FCP (out of the box, and no updates) it did indeed open my last project. I do like this feature. I open a project, work on it, save it, and close it. I will put my system “to sleep”, and wake it up later, (I leave the firewire drives mounted when I put the sys to sleep) and open fcp, and now it never opens the last project I was working on. I always have to browse for it.

Any ideas here? I do notice a problem with the firewire drives from time to time.

This is found in your User Preferences. I personally leave this feature off.

    Hello Walter,
Thanks for the reply. Actually, in my case, I have it checked and my issue is that although it is checked, it does not open the last project! I will uncheck it, and maybe it will open the last project!

Thanks for the help this forum provides,

    eric

Then just try the usual “Trash your Preferences” and “Repair Disk Permissions.” Something is probably minorly corrupted.

If after doing all of Walter’s suggestions and the project still won’t open, try looking at your Autosave files and working backwards until one opens.
