I am trying to edit a multi clip sequence using the Photo-JPEG codec and am getting some errors. I have had no problems using uncompressed-10-bit in the past, but want to use the higher compressed and smaller file size of the Photo-JPEG codec, but am having some problems doing this with the multi-cam edit feature. After I make the clips into a multi-clip with matching up the timecode, then making the multi-clip sequence, I try to open it and it either tells me “General Error” followed by “Out of Memory” or it won’t play back all the camera angles at the same time, with the “open” feature on. Any suggestions? I’ve tried emptying the preferences folder, tried restarting, tried new sequences … out of ideas!

    Here’s what I’m using:

OS X.4.9, FCP 5.1, 2gigs ram, two internal drives at 500 gigs each.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    THanks.

Well I have the previous problem fixed, now my question is this: Can you use the multi-clip sequence and edit in real time with the Photo-JPEG codec? I can’t seem to be able to view all camera angles in real time. I have also selected the “Open Playhead Sync Option” from the system settings menu. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
