I am having argument with an editor that is saying that Final Cut Pro has a limit to the amount of folder that can be in the capture scratch. Does anyone know if there is in fact a limit to the amount of folders that can live in the capture scratch? And, will more folders cause lag times?

    Thanks in advance!

[Ken Niblock] “Does anyone know if there is in fact a limit to the amount of folders that can live in the capture scratch?”

I’m sure there is a limit, and someday someone in the universe will probably max out, but so far nobody I know has come close.

[Ken Niblock] “will more folders cause lag times?”

Having numerous sub-folders within sub-folders can possibly cause latency.
