  • Final Cut Pro is messing with my footage

    Hello. I’ll try to be as specific as I can, I am not a pro.

    My original footage was shot a bit grainy, which didn’t look that bad.
    Then I log and transfered it into final cut via E1 Apple Pro res 422 and the footage looks like there are mini boxes that are moving around. A little hard to explain, so i have two reference pictures here.

    The first photo is of when the footage was put into final cut (color corrected. Same problem when it is not color corrected) and the second is of the raw footage off of the card.

    I shot on the canon t3i. At first I thought it was just how the video looked in fcp7, leading it to an exporting problem- but I have tried exporting many different ways, and I always get that horrible quality. I am let to believe that I have some setting wrong within fcp.. through I really don’t know what to mess around with.

    I have tried messing around with this as much as I can. Could really use some help at this point.
