  Final Cut Pro files into PC

  Hello all, I’ve looked for an answer to this question on the forum and haven’t found a solid answer yet so hear goes.

  I use Premiere 2.0 (and CS4) on a PC. My friend uses FCP.

  I’m about to take over the job of editing her timeline (footage was shot in HD) and for a variety of reasons I wont go into here, the way we are going to do it is for her to export the footage as one big clip off her timeline and I will import it into Premiere.

  I would like her files with minimal loss of quality, if possible, none. The question is this: what codec should she use to export from FCP? She is working with hdv3 files (.mov) and I’ve heard that there is no codec for this for the PC. Hopefully this is just a case of using a different container file…
