Final cut pro crashes constantly
Simple as that it crashes when you press space bar too quickly, scrub clips in viewer, use the jog wheel in viewer etc. etc. I tried to use multi clip and it would play for three seconds then crash.
Also when I import pshop images typically type as a layer, when I render it I get either a green line on one end on my graphic or a pink line only once I render it….
I use Dual 2.5 G5.
6 gigs of ram
Final cut studio5.
Xserve raid fiber channel.
Decklink HD pro card.No programs are open except for final cut when I am using it.
Any help is appreciated thank you. -

A great way to do this is to use “FCP Rescue” a free Apple Script that will Trash the Preferences for you (and restore nearly all of your user settings afterward).
There are versions for FCPro & FCExpress.Download these free Apple Scripts at

This is one FCP tip that has helped in hundreds of “odd” problems.
