Seems like every third time I open Log and Capture today, it’s beachballing on me. I’ve restarted, rebooted, powered down, etc. Still happens, it’s really causing me some problems now, since i’ve got a show at 4pm this clip needs to be on. Anyone know where I can start fixing this?

More information will help. How much ram? G5 or Mac Pro? What version of software? What are the drivers installed with your capture hardware? (Or are you capturing via firwire) What format are you digitizing?

Two tips of general system maintenance that may help, in lieu of the above information, would be to trash your FCP preferences. There are tons of posts, and kenstone.net also has this procedure described. Also, repair your disk permissions and then try restarting your system. If those don’t work, drop another post with your system specs.
