final cut pro audio issues
I’m getting a hum on a track of audio as I play the sequence in fcp, but when I go to the original file and play it in the source window of tcp there is no hum. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Going to guess only one half of a stereo pair is active, and the other channel is dead. What happens when you pan the channel full-left or full-right?

Mark – yeah it looks like when I edit in just one channel (both chns have audio in mono dialogue) I get the hum but when I edit in both channels the hum is gone… real weird.

Channels may be 180 degrees out of phase. When both channels are played back mono, the hum would be cancelled out.
