Final Cut Pro 7 Hangs on Log and Transfer with certain Red camera footage
Every time I try to open one particular Red Camera reel in the Log and Transfer window, FCP7 hangs and I have to force quit it. I’ve tried the reel on three different systems, and it’s the same every time. It’s just the one reel that does this, other reels open up fine.
The faulty reel opens up fine in Red Cine X Pro. Any ideas what could be wrong and how to fix?
Running Final Cut Pro 7.03 on a Mac Pro (Snow Leopard) with the latest version of the FCS 3.0 Red Plugin.

If you can open it in Red Cine, why not just export it from there?

I’ve ingested all the other reels as ProRes 422 proxies using the log and transfer dialogue, and our plan was to re-conform from the original RED media using Final Cut.
If I bring it in through Red Cine X Pro, do you think that will cause problems down the line with our online workflow?

Try one clip through the proposed workflow.
