what are you trying to convert to, a Flash video file?

Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

To a normal Quicktime file. But Final Cut crashed before it reaches the export window.

how about a straight export, rather than a conversion, or doing a send to Compressor, or even a share to Mobile me or something?

Non-linear: all the time and nothing but.

Yes the Share works when using the (DVD & iPod) settings. Have not tried the others yet.
I have not tried using the Compressor on with this Workstation but will give it try in the morning.

Still would like to know why I get this crash every time I use this export option.

I tend to agree with Robb on this. It sounds like a program improperly installed or corrupted.

    Have repaired your permissions yet?

Have deleted your prefs in FCP?

Yeah I fixed the Permissions, now the when I take the (File – Share) rout I get a error message.
    🙁

The really wired thing is this phenomenon is happening on two of our edit station.

    Here is a updated list:
    Workstation 1
FInal Cut Studio 3 (Full installed)
    Shake
    After Effects CS3
Cinema 4D & Net Render Server
    Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web

    Workstation 2
FInal Cut Studio 3 (Full installed)
    Net Render Client
Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Design

Error Message when using Quicktime Conversion
The application Final Cut quit unexpectedly. The problem may have been caused by the FLV plug-in.

    Error when using the Share…
    Share Failure
Final Cut Pro generated an error or unexpectedly quit

I just might have to wipe the two Workstations and restart from the beginning. 🙁

There’s nothing wrong with your systems at all. The issue is with Qmaster. It is a known fact that FCP7 and Qmaster do not work together at the moment.

There’s no known fix, other than waiting for a software update from Apple on this.

Sorry… We’re all in the same boat on this one.
