Final Cut Pro 7: Canvas and Viewer images wrong size / aspect ratio

March 31, 2017 at 11:47 pmHi there,
Some of my sequences display the footage correctly, while others make it tiny or misfit. My footage was shot 16.9
I just need to be able to have my footage display correctly but have tried everything I can think of in vain (removing attributes etc)
Help! Im on a deadline and unable to work…

April 1, 2017 at 4:32 amIs this footage SD or HD? What is the frame size? 720×360? 1280×720? 1920×1080? And what are your SEQUENCE settings? (CMD-0…or Sequence menu…settings) What are those dimensions?

April 1, 2017 at 12:56 pmthe image in that viewer sure looks like 4/3,
although weirdly there are what look like grey pillboxes on it’s left and right,
that are exactly the same colour as the viewer.
weird.firstly you need to do what Shane suggest, and check your footage properties,
and your sequence settingsalso, in your user FCP preferences,
go to the editing pane,
and make sure “Auto conform sequence” is set to “Ask”nick
