“Give me a child until he is seven and I will give you the man.” Jesuit adage.
“Give me a child from eight to fourteen, and we have them for life.” Microsoft maxim. 😉[Peter Corbett] “There is brilliant and mediocre work done on both Windows and Apple-based NLE’s.”
Indeed, from a distant, accountant’s or executive producer’s, perspective that is so.From the ‘coal-face’, from day-in-day-out being 600cm in front of the monitor screens, there is much more to the experience.
I couldn’t put in the long hours as readily if I worked with a Microsoft GUI, and Window’s hardware management – my motto 🙂
I wouldn’t be able to put in the long unbroken editing hours if I had to maintain a Windows system, as I’ve single-handedly managed my Mac edit suites since 1993.:-)
My inadequacy I know, not understanding Window’s Registry etc etc, and not remembering what I do get told about it 🙁But I don’t need to understand my Macs underlying technology – thankfully. I can just get on with editing….
Coping with Final Cut Suite + Shake + GarageBand/Logic is *plenty* to keep me busy for the moment!!! 🙂 -
