    Hello,
I’m having rendering problems. After rendering my composition, some artifacts appear in my image. (before rendering, I don’t see the artifacts)
These artifacts are only present in the highlights. Is this some kind of bug in FCP 6? Or am I doing something wrong?
The artifacts look like I selected a color range with the lasso tool in photoshop. In the image, you see them in the guy’s glasses.

    This is my workflow:
    Panasonic HVX2000 & Panasonic 101
    Log&Transfer (ProRess HQ)
    Editing (No problem still)
    Rendering
–> This is when the artifacts show up.

Does anybody know the cause of my problem & how to fix it?

Create a new sequence and copy/paste a small portion of unrendered material of where the rendered artifacts show up after rendering. In the new sequence go up and select sequence and click on settings. Once in settings select video processing. There is a drop-down processes maximum white and go to super white. If these artifacts are only showing up in overblown highlights such as what it looks like above i.e. light reflection off of glasses. This might help if not play around with different render processes in that menu. It has worked for me before. Also make sure you have the most up to date version of FCP yadda yadda yadda

    Hope it helps,
    Jay
