I have Final Cut Pro Academic (part of Final Cut Studio), version 5.1.4, installed on my Macbook Pro. The problem is, I want to install it on my work computer (Dual 2.7GHz G5 OSX 10.4.11) as well. I was able to open it once yesterday, but now whenever I try to open the program, it gives me the loading window – the “unable to locate Apple Firewire NTSC (720×480), window – and then nothing. It just doesn’t open up.

I don’t understand. Does FCP 5.1.4 not work on non-intel Macs? Is it because I have an academic version? Please, if anybody could help me I’d be very appreciative.

Also, the other Final Cut Pro Studio programs open fine. DVD Pro works fine, as does Motion. I can’t understand for the life of me what’s up with FCP.
