(I’ve also posted this to the Apple Discussion board because I’m dying here!!)

Hi guys – my world is currently a nightmare!! I’ve got two jobs created totally differently but both have audio sync drifting problems. I’ve been troubleshooting these for the last 13 hours and thought I had one of them licked this morning, but tonight when I came back to it to lay it back to Digitbeta, it’s miles out again!

All the trouble seems to coincide with the crossgrade from Final Cut Studio 5.0.x to 5.1.1.

Is there a known issue there with audio sync? I read something before work today about this happening when you make round trips to Soundtrack or Motiion but I’ve been doing none of that.

I’ve got vision and audio that I know match, yet FCP is playing them back drifting. We’ve got a Kona LHe card in a Quad G5 which has been flawless up until now.

Any tips would be gratefully received.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Solved problem. It was a 0.1% pull up/down issue, exacerbated by the fact that I’m a Pro Tools expert but still have my plates on for FCP. Too much PAL work and not enough mixed PAL/NTSC work in my resume!
I’ll NEVER make this mistake again!
