When we sent our drives back to warranty work at Huge; they fixed
them; but formatted the stripes to 10.4x OSX.

I was told by the tech powers to be that in order to see these drives
I must upgrade my OSX from 10.39 to 10.4x.

    Here is the question.

This will cure the inability for finder to see the Raid drives
    but

    a) will Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 work with Tiger
    b) will I have to reinstall any of this software because
    of this forced “upgrade”

    Thank you for your time

If you update your OS to 10.4.10, FCP 4.5 will work.

SHOULD work. People reported success in doing this.

    Here’s the 20 cent question.

The reason we have to upgrade is that the repaired drives were
striped with OSX 10.4x (don’t know the version Ciprico used but
    could ask).

Anyhow if the upgrade is 10.4.10 and this allows FCP, would it
still allow the finder to see the striped drives
(at present the OSX 10.3.9 sees the drives in the Huge 320
array as there; but no stripe info)

I have come from a PC background so the way Apple upgrades the
OS seems different to me; so bear with my newbie questions!

    Thanks in advance
