    i have final cut 5.0.4 and after effects 6.5. do we know if this software is compatible with the new macs? i’m sure it will work. but are we hearing about any bugs or conflicts before i purchase the system?

    FCP 5.0.4 and Studio are not compatible yet… see: https://www.apple.com/universal/crossgrade/ you’ll need to order the new version to run on the intel macs…

    After Effects will run in the Rosetta emulation for now. It should work, just slower.

    You’ll have to wait for the next full upgrade of AE to get the Intel-native version. Adobe won’t say when that will be, but they usually come out with new versions every 18-24 months. (I don’t know when the last AE came out, however.)
