They’re more of a nuisance than a help. They come off easily.

Better off getting an FCP keyboard from Bella. Only about $160 from macmall.com

[Dan_the_Film_Geek] “stickers that go on your keyboard?”

Funny, I’m looking for a solution for getting the stickers OFF my keyboard. 😉

Kevin, excellent, best laugh I’ve had today.

Why don’t you post each other your keyboards – fixed!

Are you kidding? I use the Jog / Shuttle everytime I edit. that’s my favorite feature of the keyboard. Jog / Shuttle / In / Out all right there.

I use the Logic Final Cut Pro Keycaps. You build your own Final Cut Pro keyboard, with Logickeyboard keysets.
The keycaps come together with a keycap tool to remove and replace original keys and with a drawing, showing where to place the unique Final Cut Pro keycaps.

These keycaps fit the new Apple keyboard on G5s, Emacs, Apple Bluetooth keyboards and new Apple replacement keyboards.

hehe … i was just having a dig Walter, hence the wink. apologies. i know of many many people, yourself included, who love their Bella keyboards, and thats all good. i was just expressing my preference.

i’m more of a jkl man myself. on the one hand, coming from a linear background, i love jogshuttle controls, but on the other, coming from a linear background, i’m used to pounding on my jogshuttle and expecting instant results. the keystroke sending variety of the jogshuttle just doesn’t ring my bell i guess, whereas the direct hook into the system version that we get from FCP’s control surface integration is very much better, very reactive.
… ahhh, but then we get into the whole “can i be bothered to move my hands all the way over to the control surface’s jogshuttle wheel when jkl is right here under my figertips” issue 🙂

Anybody else experiencing some weirdness with the MacPro and the Bella keyboard?

I have the Shuttle Keyboard (5102), and sometimes I can inch through a clip with the shuttle wheel, and sometimes it doesn’t seem to work at all. Is it me or the new Beta driver from Bella?

Have you contacted Bella and reported this? It is a beta product and they’re looking for feedback. I’ve been reporting a few little weird issues with our Pro keyboard and the MacPro. No show stoppers, but little glitches here and there.

Yes. Although I admit I’m tempted to accidentally drop a cup of coffee on the keyboard and be “forced” to get the new one with the little light.
