Final Cut Keeps Shutting Down During Rendering
I have a very large project that requires a lot of rendering from files from Motion. I have tried several times to render the project. It starts just fine, and then after a while the color wheel starts spinning for several minutes and then Final Cut Pro shuts down without any rendering completed. I re-open, start again, same thing.
I tried taking individual clips and rendering those in a separate sequence and that will work for a while, and then it starts shutting down again and despite saving, loses all of the renders anyway. I have even tried rendering individual frames on sequences and it produces the same result.
Any help will be appreciated as I am running out of ideas fast and have been working on this problem for several days. Thank you very much for the help.

rendering the timeline so it plays in realtime or exporting as a self contained file?
try the one you are not doing.
also trash prefs (if you have not already)
you might also completely delete all the renders you had before
or move them where they won’t be seen in case you have to put
them back. -
Try exporting your Motion project to a Quicktime movie and then put that file in your FCP project. I’ve done this several times to work around rendering issues with good results.
