  • Final Cut HD footage is getting squeezed in AE

I have been exporting footage from the timeline in Final Cut Pro – the footage properties in Final Cut are listed as follows:
    960 x 720, 59.94 fps, DVCPRO HD 720p60
When I export a quicktime movie with these settings and bring it into After Effects and then put it in a timeline, it’s squeezed – the horizontal is smaller than it should be. If I double click the quicktime movie, it looks fine (in After Effects). I have dragged the Quicktime movie over the new comp icon and created a new comp with the original settings of the quicktime movie – but it’s completely squeezed.
There must be something simple that I can fix, but I’m at wit’s end! Someone help please!!

Thanks – I’m actually trying to get After Effects to behave correctly – not the After Effects footage in Final Cut. I’m looking for the correct way to import the FInal Cut Quicktimes into After Effects by either changing the export settings of FCP or the Comp settings in AE. Any help would be appreciated.
