Final Cut Freezes when capturing to internal drive
Final Cut Pro freezes during batch capturing. I am using Final Cut 6.0.6 on Snow Leopard. I am capturing to 3 striped internal drives: WD Caviar Black 2TB SATA. When I capture to an external drive connected with SATA I don’t seem to crash.
I’m not sure if I should upgrade to FCP 7 and that will solve the freezing – or if the internal drives are the sole problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Run disk warrior on the drive.

Run AJA System Test (free download) on the drives and see what your drive performance is. One bad drive in your array can slow everything to a crawl, or freeze you up.
