I found a new way for Final Cut to annoy me. 🙂

I was working on a new project, and made some significant cuts with a producer when FCP auto save feature prompts me that it cannot auto save without the project being saved first. So I select ‘save’ but then realize my folder structure isn’t set up yet. So I switch to the Finder (while FCP’s save window is still up and waiting for a path and a name) and spend a couple minutes in the Finder getting organized first. Then FCP tries to auto save again thinking it can now for some reason, seemingly unaware its Save window is up. The program got locked up and I had to force quit.

I know I should have avoided this issue buy saving the project from the get-go, or had my folder structure set-up already. But I was in a hurry and had a busy producer who just wanted to do a few things to some newly ingested footage.

    I learned my lesson.

    Best regards,
