Final Cut EXPRESS XML Files
I need to recover media files.
I imported video using iMovie, edited on FCE, came back today and everything is offline.
I tried to reconnect with the XML file from iMovie, but it did not have video on it.
Any solutions?
How do I avoid this happening again?
I don’t mind using iMovie to import video, as FCE does not recognize my camera. I just don’t want to have these issues come up again.

Well, files don’t trash themselves… so somehow you’ve managed to do it…
My suggestion is to recapture, and set your files to be saved where you know you won’t be losing them? If you’ve moved them, the app will show them as being offline, you should be able to reconnect to them. Just chose file/reconnect media with the clips that are reported offline selected in the Browser.
