    Hi Everyone,

I know that in FCP one has the ability to change the codec of the sequence in the render settings, but in Final cut express one can’t. Since this is the case, then what is the codec of the sequence in FCE? Does that mean that any footage exported from FCE using “Quicktime Movie” will be converted to that codec? For example, I edited some footage whose codec was Black Magic 10-bit, and when I exported it using “Quicktime Movie” it was turned into DV. What is going on here?

    Thank you,

    Eben

FCE only works in 2 formats. DV and Apple Intermediate Codec.

    **Hindsight is always 1080p**
