I am currently producing all my videos using Final Cut Express 4. I am wondering if the full HD 1080p footage coming from my Rebel t2i is supported by FCE 4, and if so what sort of compressor I should be using. Pro Resolution?

    Thanks.

Can’t help you with FCP, but there were a couple of discussions recently about which intermediate codec to use best with DSLRs.

    Like those:

I you don’t have FCP you don’t have a way to transcode your clips to ProRes. FCE is so limited with what codecs you cannot use I would never recommend it. You get so much more with FCS.

I think you have to convert the clips to AIC and work with that. It is not a bad codec just not as good as ProRes.
