    Hi Folks –

I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but I’ve got to do my due diligence.

I’ve got a producer with Final Cut Express 1.0 installed on his laptop, and he is dead set on playing around with some footage that was shot on an HVX-200 onto a P2 card @ 720P.

The footage was imported on a fully functional Final Cut Pro station and brought to the laptop via FW drive.

Is this even possible? Or will he have to upgrade the version of Final Cut Express. Or something else. Thanks.

No, it only works with AVCHD, HDV and DV, no other HD formats. He will have to purchase Final Cut Studio or work with down-converted footage.

    As I suspected.
    Thanks.

I’m in the middle of converting files to DV for a producer so he can do the same thing. Haven’t been using Flip Factory much until they figured out the 720 60p problems so it’s a good test.
