Real quick question that i’m having trouble figuring out. Is there away for when I import footage to have it go to my external hard drive rather than my hard drive so save space. I know it’s got to do something with the scratch folder possibly, I’m using FCE? Also, I’m using a mac, would time capsule be a more efficient use to solve this problem since it is wireless? Let me know, thanks so much!

Never, never capture or import to your internal drive. This will cause problems. Do not use Time Capsule for your capture scratch. Use an external FW hard drive or another internal if your computer allows.

Set your scratch disk to any drive other than your system drive or Time Capsule (Shift Q).
