    Hi

I am in the process of exporting a series of 10 minute films from final cut pro and i am doing this by the standard export, exporting in apple pro res 422 LT same as my time line. When i watch the edit in fcp it sounds great and looks great but when i export it i get weird sound levels like when i have faded a sound effect or music out it just cuts out and sounds harsh also the video is also jumping when going through cuts or when i have faded a shot in or out!

Does any one know of this problem and how to sort it?

    Cheers

    Mike

You’ve told us your timeline is set to Pro Res LT, but you haven’t told us what codec or file type you’re actually editing. That can make a huge difference.

Are you cutting h.264 or some other MPEG2 variant?

Try the Mix Down choice before exporting – it’s under one of the render menus, but I can’t remember which one.

Oh, and for picture, make certain you have “Full” checked in the Render All menu, and re-render the entire timeline.

I Have done these and that doesn’t seem to work but what i have noticed is when i play the films in quicktime player v10 it does the slight enlarge and jump through transitions but when i play the films in quicktime 7 those problems dont appear to be there? Any ideas?

How does your finished file look like in VLC and Streamclip, when played back there?
