Final Cut eBay
Hello, long time lurker & new poster here at Creative Cow.
After a long break from final cut, I’m looking to return to video work and interested in downloading a copy of FC. I was looking for affordable options on eBay and came across this link:
Obvi, his 0 feedback is a warning in itself but anyone know how this works? The seller is providing an illegal copy of the software vs other sellers peddling their old CD copies?
If so, anyone know of an alternative source of where I can obtain the software at an affordable price?

The cheapest legal place to get fcpx is the download from Apple’s app store. Older final cut studio/ FCP7 might still be available from Apple if you call a live customer service rep and physically request a copy – if they have any left in back stock. You are gambling when you buy old software off ebay. I got my home copy of 7 that way and it worked out all right, but I was careful regarding seller ratings.
