  Final Cut Crashes while recompressing

  Hi!
  I m working on a Xsan with 3G5s, althoug we have 5Tbyte, I have to recompress some material. Ive tried trashing prefs, repairing diskprivileges, defragmenting the hard drives recompressing on the three different machines, but FC still crashes.
  I m working in Pal ccir601 DV, and im trying to recompress to photo jpeg 35%.
  first Final Cut says it has an error code 1, and cant recompress the following files”…”
  i press skip and it continues til next clip that cannot be recompressed, i check for “apply to all other occurents”.
  Somtimes FC diplays “error: out of memory” before it crashes, and sometimes it just crashes after a while.

  Can anyone tell me what to do so that i can sleep tight the next nights?-)
