  Final Cut Crashes When Communicating w/ the Camera

  Hi,

  Final Cut keeps “Unexpectedly” quitting, though I’m starting to expect it more and more. It happens if I open log and capture, watch some video (even without logging and capturing anything), and then close the log and capture window. Without fail, FCP crashes within 5 seconds of closing the log and capture window.

  I was also mastering a 20 minute video to tape, walked away, and came back to find that the video made it about halfway through before FCP unexpectedly quit.

  I recently loaded Tiger and reloaded FCP. I never had this problem before I got this new hard drive and cleanly loaded all of the software.

  I’m planning on upgrading my RAM anyway. Could this potentially fix this problem? Are there any other suggestions on what I should do?

  My computer is a dual 500mhz g4 with 768mb of RAM.
