Final cut can’t open!!!
hi guys
i downloaded the trial version of Avid media composer 5.5 on my macbook pro.now when i open final cut it gives me a message that final cut quit unexpectedly,cuz of avid AVCHD codec! i uninstalled Avid and its codecs , trashed the FCP preferences , restarted and still getting the same message!all the other FCS applications are working perfectly though !
is there any tips before i uninstall my FCS and reinstall it again ??

sorry i was i a hurry , i wrote the error msg wrong! it goes “final cut pro quit unexpectedly while using the AvidAvdAVdncodec plug-in” …. i removed FCS and reinstalled it again … still getting the same message!
this is getting really annoyingany help please!

Instead of re-installing FCS try to remove plugin that generates error.

i did that … is there any other place i should search other the plug-in folder inside the application’s “show content “??

its was neither in the application’s content folder , nor in the library/supporting files/fcp supporting files/ nor in the avid plug ins …. it was simply in the library / quicktime folder 🙂
