    Hey guys,

I recently did some ADR work for my video on Pro Tools. After cleaning up the tracks, my soundperson sent me the audio on individual tracks (about 9 in all). I was able to insert them onto my timeline with no problem, but every time I move the individual tracks on the timeline, the render bar comes on and requires a 7 minute render. Any way around this problem?

There’s a little program called “LOADER” which will import your sound and change it to the appropriate format very efficiently. It costs about $50 and works very well.

Then you won’t have to render

If it’s already the correct format (AIF or BWF) then your system might not be able to handle this amount of tracks in real time – especially when they are long. Try to lower the audio playback quality.

Go to User Preferences > General tab and check that the “Real-time Audio Mixing” preference is set to more than “8”. You can safely bump it to 24 or 32 tracks and should be quite happy.
