Hi, I am trying to export footage that I have in Prores to H.264. Every time I’m exporting the progress bar goes really quickly to about 7 percent and then it just freezes and the remaining time just keeps getting longer and longer.

I have this problem no matter if I export it straight from Final Cut or if I send it to Compressor first. I have the same problem if I try to encode other footage via compressor it stops everytime it gets to around 7 percent.

Any ideas why this is happening?

I tried as a workaround to encode the prores sequence with adobe media encoder, however afterwards the encoded footage looks a lot darker than it did before.

    Cheers

    Hey Neil,
This may be caused by any element or media in your time-line, so render it to try to find out if is any aproblem.

When sending to Compressor to a “Multi-pass H246”, the sequence will be rendered THREE times; even if FCs time-line was fully rendered (two times for a Double-pass MPEG-2).
Don´t waist your time. Export a Prores Self-contained and import to Compressor.
