This JUST started happening on my FCP sytem. When capturing over SDI from XDCam the audio is consistently 16 frames out of sync. Doesn’t matter which capture setting I use. Anyone have any thoughts on how to cure this? This has been a reliable system for 3 years until now!!

I’ve been experiencing this a lot lately with DVCPRO HD shot on an HDX 900. I haven’t found any pattern (it happens on both very full and brand new raid sets). It’s fairly inconsistent, and not very frequent so I’ve just set those off sync clips offline, and recaptured.

    OK
what has changed on your systems?
have you done ANY OS or Software updates or installed anything new on your computer?

Did you check to see if there was a driver update- and if you did update the driver did you check the firmware to see if it needed a separate update from the driver?

Using OSX 10.5.6, FCP 6.0.5 and Kona 3 with Kona software 6.0.3, but also saw it with Kona software 6.0.2. Also, the Kona firmware is the 64 bit DMA.

It’s pretty sporadic, and is fixed by a quick recapture. It sounded like Robert’s experiencing this more regularly.
