Final Cut 7 released, no native XD Cam Editing
Finally, Apple released the new version of Final Cut Studio, Final Cut 7.
They have a new plugin support for XDCam XDCamEX. Compressor burns to BluRay, but sadly, no BluRay Authoring in their DVD authoring software.
They did include native AVHCD editing support. Hopefully this means flexibility in not making everyone stick to the Pro-Res. Maybe they will include an update later for the native XDCAM editing.

still no native editing for AVCHD, but they did include it for AVC-Intra.
one cool thing is you can author/burn a Blu-ray disc straight from the FCP 7 timeline- still need a Blu-ray burner though.

I’d not hold my breath for drag and drop/ native SxS into FCP for editing. It’s probably going to be the way it is now forever. At least until a completely new FCP or something like it comes along that’s not so tied to QuickTime.

trying to get best output quality for a show shot on xdcam
I have edited native xd and exported to xd cam disc recorder
is there a better quality output I could do ?

well depends- does it have to go back out to XDCAM?
