No handles. When your GL2 does not have a tape rolling inside it, the GL2 is probably communicating to FCP non-drop frame time code. Your tapes were probably shot in drop frame. If you roll one of your tapes in your GL2 before selecting batch capture, the GL2 will send the logged tape’s time code (DF or NDF) to FCP.
Try these steps:
1. Close your log and capture window.
2. Put one of your logged tapes in your GL2.
3. Open log and capture.
4. Control click on “Reel” in the log and capture window to bring up the contextual menu and select the logged reel that is inside your GL2.
5. Press the play button in the log and capture window to roll the tape in your GL2. Your GL2 is now communicating the correct type of time code to FCP.
6. Go to your bin with your logged clips and select all of your offline clips.
7. Control click on the selected clips and select “Batch Capture” from the contextual menu.
If you logged your tapes correctly you should not see the error message now.
