FINAL CUT 7 and Compressor 3.0 Question
I am working with FCP 7 and I am trying to compress through compressor. When I go to submit the button is grayed out any reason why ?

Yes. The version of Compressor that comes with FCP 7 is 3.5. That’s part of Final Cut Pro Studio 3, aka Final Cut Studio 2009. Compressor 3 is part of Final Cut Studio 2…that shipped with FCP 6. It isn’t linking because the version is wrong.

So to answer your question…the best way to do this with what you have is to export a self contained QT movie, and then take that into Compressor.

i did that … when i hit submit it is grey i cant hit submit

Well, I’d suggest installing the proper version of Compressor first. It’s on the FCS 3 install disk…the first one. Do a custom install and only choose Compressor.
Or you can try COMPRESSOR REPAIR…
