OK – yes, I am still using Final Cut 6.06. I also drive an Edsel, so you’ll understand.

Anyhow – a new weird problem… I’ve been working on 3 corporate projects for 2 months, and now as I go to EXPORT QUICKTIME MOVIE, it stops after a few minutes and says “Codec Not Found. You may be using a compression type without the corresponding hardware card”.

It’s been running fine until this moment, where I’m burning the very final (approved) version… the timing is perfect(ly devious). What did I do? (I did recently zap the Pram…?) thoughts?

Thank you for your generous thoughts.

    Truly,

    rb

What codec are you exporting to? MP4 / H.264? or Current Settings? I’m still on FCP7, and I have not seen this issue. BTW, that Edsel might really be worth something now.

    Hi Chris:

Sorry for the late response. Now – I barely remember the issue… but I think it had to do with lack of hard drive space. As I recall now, I think I dumped a bunch of stuff and it started working again. BTW – I was simply compressing to a QTmovie, which I was later going to compress to an MP4. Thanks for checking in… gotta go take a ride in the Edsel now…. hardy har..!
