Final Cut 4 crashing
Hi,
Having a terrible time trying to complete this project.Just installed FC again on my new start-up disc. First time using it. Project continualy crashing and hanging my computer every time I try to render…finally exported at a movie and then when I tried any compression tools it crashes…sorenson, cleaner. Is this my computer reacting to FC 4? Was there a patch for this software? Was it buggy…please help. I have been trying for two days now and I need to show this to a client tomorrow. -

You’ve posted absolutely no information about your system and haven’t included anything in your Profile either so my only suggestion is to update to FCP 4.5 and see if that fixes it.

I’m with Walter-It sounds like you are lacking processing power-if simple processes like running the program are hanging and crashing FCP, you probably need RAM. Again, this is without seeing your config.
