  • Filters? Matte Box? None?

Lets see if i can keep this short and to the point…

My wife does photography and i do videography. I want some filters because i like what they can do. Cokins seem cheap and relatively good on the image. I like to get equipment(if i can) that can serve a dual purpose(photography and video) So… Should i get some cokin p series filters and adapters for my HVX(82mm) and a separate one for my wife’s Nikon D80(67mm), so we can both use the filters. Or should i get a matte box and filters. If matte box, what is a solution to spending 500 bucks on a matte box alone that will hold a few filter?

The Cokins are hard plastic and need special care.
