    hi guys

dual g5, kona lh, fcp 5, os 10.4 promax SATA raid

i have some footage captured betacam component to 525 29.97 8 bit uncombressed and when i dropped brightness/contrast and a gamma corrector filter on a clip in an 8 bit sequence, the nTSC out got all messsed up, like a three way split with the clip running in 2 boxes along the top, squished verticaly, and another clips just looping the same one second segment over and over in the lower 3 fifths of the screen (it was kinda cool effect)

i can see if i am pushing the rt, but shouldnt i at least get dropped frames or de rez? this output looked like a sick card

any ideas? sound familiar to anyone?

    thanx in advance

Are you trying to play this back ten bit? I have seen this when you attempt to play 8 bit through 10 bit of K2.

Is your RT set to “safe” ?

That’s all I can think of at this moment.

    thanx!

its an 8 bit clip in an 8 bit sequence. Once i render the range its fine.

    its also not consistent

i will endeavor to gather more facts as i did not suprevise the job from the start.
