Filter Question
I am relatively new to After Effects.
For a transition I would like to let the picture go away in parts (perhaps 10) which are of different size. The parts should slowly drift away into different directions (right, left, down, up).
I don’t mean something like shatter or so. Just a going apart in one simple dimension.
I know it’s old fashioned. But I’d like to use it. I’ve seen it several times before. Is there a AE filter to help building the effect?

I’d like to know this too.
I suppose you could do something with a tiled image, where you had say 10 different colors shapes and then applied a displacement map according to the different red and green values.
Then just key frame the amount of displacement.
