  Filter not working on FCP

  My video filters have just quite functioning at least any new ones i apply. ironically the old filters applied before this started are still applied. when i add a filter ie color correction it shows up in the filters window on the browser but it has no effect on the canvas I am on fcp version 5.0.4 running on a G5 2 gig dual. this hasn’t shown up as an issue until i needed to out put with visiable timecode and when i applied the filter nothing nada zip. any thoughts or ideas would be appeciated i need to get my project to the Audio post facliity today to make deadline
