Filmic fade
Posted by Joel Arvidsson on February 12, 2009 at 8:53 pmIs there any 3dparty plugins that gives fcp the feature to do more filmic fades? You know like it’s starts to fade in the bright parts first and darker later. Normal everything goes at once in fcp.

February 12, 2009 at 9:27 pmRed Giant has the Magic Bullet Frames plugins for after effects. There’s a plugin called “Opticals” that does some filmic fades.

February 13, 2009 at 3:35 pmI agree with Arnie, have a look to the Nattress dissolves.
You will find them in the “Film effects” and in the “Big Box of tricks”.
Also if you need a long dissolve in FC, I think the Nattress (Bib Box..) is the only solution for FC.
Before it was only the “Buena Vista Film Dissolve” but it doesn’t work any more unless you are using FC 5.0 or lower.
Cheers,

The real name is “Dissolve Factory”.
