August 29, 2008 at 2:45 pmHi Job – (other experts too)
I thought I posted the information about a week or so ago – on checking, it doesn’t seem to appear in the thread…
The video card is NVIDEA Quadro FX1700 Driver 6.14.11.7604
Mean anything to you?
The lack of accuracy is still frustrating me, I’m usually quite instinctive about my editing points, and I’ve lost that.
Hope this one makes it in, thanks again for all your help.

August 29, 2008 at 3:19 pmYou say you’re using a regular Mojo–try hitting the DNA button on your Timeline so it switches to Firewire (1394, I believe). Then see if your responsiveness improves. You’ll lose ouput through your Mojo, but you might have improved accuracy in the edit system.
I’m also surprised that you’re seeing a lag–with previous versions it was bad (especially when compared to Meridiens), but with MC 3.0 I haven’t had the lag issue at all. If I had to guess, I would point to your Mojo.
And you’re running the right drivers (if you right click the desktop, go to the nVidia Control Panel, then choose the Help menu, System Information, you’ll see Forceware Driver 167.47 listed, which is right).
Michael.

August 30, 2008 at 12:28 amThanks Michael for your feedback.
I will check on the timeline setting as you’ve suggested.
If you read the earlier posting, I’d mentioned that the picture freezes when I use the J and L keys to fast forward and fast rewind through clips.
I was editing with Meridan box – on a very old system, but it was really accurate. Now, with this new Dell Quad Core, I find I have to exit the MC and re-start several times a day as the whole system slows down – even though the display says “memory used 7%” in the project display on my left monitor. I am running three screens – actually 4 screens but the 4th (client monitor) is a cable from the 3rd screen (my full screen display CRT TV since the LCD TV was too slow and there was an offset between my editing monitor that was driving me crazy).
Thanks again – any advice on what I should upgrade to if Mojo is the problem?
Jane
