Film Look?
Posted by Steve Tamou on September 24, 2007 at 1:58 amI created a music video and output it to dvd. It looks like live tv like the news or sports. It needs to have the film look. I shot at 30fps interlaced. Im working with FCS. Is there anything I can do to acheive that look? Maybe in the export process?

September 24, 2007 at 6:11 amBuying Graeme’s filters is a lot easier 🙂
BTW I don’t get a percentage!

September 24, 2007 at 11:26 amI’ll second Graeme’s filter suggestion, or I guess Third!
One neat thing that I have done in the past is simply take the finished video, export a Quicktime, take that into After Effects, Drop it into a 23.98 project with Frame Blending turned on, then put a film effect filter on that and rendered.
It created an absolutely believable film look because it was also running in the correct 24fps film rate. At the time I used CineLook because it was the only thing out there, but they’re definitely slower than Graeme’s filters.
We have both Boris Continuum Complete and Graeme’s filters here.
