I was wondering if I really needed to buy Magic Bullet suite, in order to make my video less harsh. I am thinking of the “frames” plug in actually. Or does it give the same effect if I just copy the video, and reduce opacity 30% on one, and de-interlace the other copy and paste them over each other.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

What’s your goal for a “film look”? What camera and format are you shooting with? And as Dave asked, what software are you using?

The main thing that achieves a “film look” feel is the frame rate it plays at. Has the footage already been shot and at what frame rate?
